NFT scoops Southern Salads contract
NFT (subscriber to FSDF’s Climate Change Agreement) has a new contract to provide temperature-controlled distribution of Southern Salads products in the UK.
Increased transport flexibility and vehicle availability were key challenges for Southern Salads – the company previously used its own dedicated fleet.
NFT’s solution removes the need for dedicated journeys and opens up NFT’s UK transport partner network, linking 400 hauliers and allowing the rapid access of unused capacity in 20,000 vehicles delivering across the UK and mainland Europe. For Southern Salads this flexibility ensures its products reach customers’ shelves in the freshest condition, NFT says.
Jason Boakes, operations director, Southern Salads said. “NFT’s bespoke transport solution has delivered for our business on all fronts. Specifically, it has allowed us to focus on our core objectives of growing the business further due to NFT’s heritage in retailer relationships. NFT’s approach overall has been first-class; both in collaboration on vehicle legacy issues, and a highly professional seamless implementation.”
Chris Soanes, commercial director, NFT said: “Our value proposition is to create outstanding supply chains, powering competitive advantage and the solution we devised for Southern Salads has delivered just that!”
