Best Individual Contribution to Health and Safety by an Individual

The purpose of this award is to recognise individuals whose contributions have made an exceptional difference to health and safety in their workplace.

For entry in this category, your submission which should not be more than 2,000 words long and must include the following information:

  • What were the individual’s health and safety achievements/contributions and how were they accomplished?
  • What barriers, if any, were encountered while implementing them?
  • What improvements in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) performance can be attributed to the individual’s contributions?safety
  • How are the individual’s contributions above and beyond their immediate area of responsibility, or the normal expectations of their role?
  • What is the potential for the individual’s contributions to have broader application within either your organisation or industry at large?
  • What communication and consultation processes were required/used to implement their achievements/contributions?

 

Outstanding Contribution to Health and Safety by a Company

There are two awards in this category – one for Full Members and one for Associate Members

The purpose of this award is to acknowledge an initiative, project or a new product which enhances the food storage and distribution industry’s health and safety record. 

For entry in this category, your submission which should not be more than 2,000 words long and must include the following information:

  • What were the organisation’s health and safety achievements/contributions and how were they accomplished?
  • What sets the achievement apart from the current norm either within the organisation or industry at large?
  • What barriers, if any, were encountered while implementing them?
  • What improvements in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) performance can be attributed to the initiative?
  • What is the potential for the initiative to have a broader application within either the nominated organisation or the food storage and distribution industry at large?

In reviewing the nominations for both awards the Judges will be looking for evidence of an innovative approach, good prospects for wider application and cost effective deployment prospects throughout the food storage and distribution industry at large.The closing date for nominations: 31st March 2017
