    Over a dozen countries from around the World were represented, and FSDF were particularly pleased to welcome Board members of International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW), Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA)and World Food Logistics Organisation (WFLO), and to provide the backdrop for the IARW Autumn Board  meeting under the new chairmanship of Garry Tilburn, MD of Reed Boardall Ltd.

    The food hygiene package, first adopted in 2004, comprises three basic acts which lay down rules on   hygiene of foodstuffs, specific rules for food of animal origin, and the organisation of official controls on  products of animal origin intended for human consumption.

FSDF alongside BFFF and the other trade associations with membership in or supporting the food and drink industry are playing a key part in conversations with Government on initiatives to restore the nation’s economic health .
  • 2011 Centenary Year

    A highly successful Centenary lunch took place on 11th May at Merchant Taylors Hall, where close to 150 members and guests enjoyed good food, wine, and pleasant company and listened to a witty and wide ranging talk from Michael Portillo about his time in politics. This is followed by the next FSDF event in our programme being our annual golf day at Moortown Golf Club near Leeds on Wednesday 15th June.

    FSDF full member companies and those which are members of our Climate Change Agreement will be delighted to know that the Government announced in the March Budget speech that the Climate Change Agreements currently in existence will now be extended to 2023.
