As we complete this year, 2012, I have ended my term of three years as President of the Foods Storage and Distribution Federation. During that period, the FSDF has endeavored to position itself as the spokesman for the service industry that supports the important industry sector of food logistics.
The cornerstone of their business is to provide business customers with business electricity contracts that are simple, flexible and designed to their specific requirements.
The FSDF is supporting a new innovative educational game,Business on the Move, which challenges young people to do just that.
IFE, the UK's biggest and most respected food and drink trade exhibition, has brought together some of the industry's leading figures to strategically advise on its 2013 event, taking place at ExCel London between 17-20 March.

The Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF) recently hosted its Autumn conference in collaboration with its partner organisation the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF).
FSDF are pleased and proud to announce the launch of the first issue of the Technical & Safety Committee (TASC) Newsletter – In Focus, which we hope to publish every quarter. We hope FSDF Members enjoy reading this and forthcoming issues and find the key topics and specialist features relevant to their company.
“The recent announcement from the new Transport Secretary Patrick Mc Loughlin that the Coalition Government intends to press ahead with legislation to introduce user charges for foreign vehicles which use the UK road infrastructure is very encouraging” said FSDF Chief Executive Chris Sturman.
The FSDF has confirmed the keynote speakers that will be addressingthe Food Supply Chain Excellence Annual Conference, at Eastwood Hall Nottingham on 30th September to 1st October.
The Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF) has set up a new committee to help its members reduce the risk of workplace accidents and fatalities.
After our usual British summer weather leading up to the FSDF Golf Day, once again our luck was in and the rain stayed off for the day on Wednesday 20th June.
