    The FSDF also invest in Research projects in environmental and sustainable areas aimed at saving FSDF member’s bottom line costs. Copies of reports are available to members for evaluation and implementation as appropriate. Free expert energy surveys of refrigeration plant and facilities through the Carbon Trust. Energy benchmarking to ensure members keep up with the competition and evaluate their own performance against industry leaders to maintain competitive edge. KPI Surveys for the entire food distribution sector with additional focus on sub sectors such as temperature controlled distribution and fuel economies.

    Specialist advice and assistance is made available on Food Safety, Health and Safety, Transport Regulations and a host of other complex legislative areas. We deliver this through our panels of experts who have close relationships with relevant academic research institutions and Government Departments such as Defra and Department of Energy & Climate Change.

    We are in constant touch with many Government departments and with the European Commission to influence new and emerging legislation and ensure that it can be practically implemented and cost effective.
