Recently, the FSDF has provided data and insight for the Elliott Report looking at the food supply chain in light of the horse meat scandal in 2013 and the FSA’s data processing and risk mapping group tasked with identifying risks and barriers to fraud and criminality in the food supply chain.
The FSDF also works closely with a number of academic teams. Recent projects include a study into sell by dates and enhanced traceability with De Montfort University, and an Energy Management study with Brunel, Birmingham and Manchester Universities.
