“Amazing Lunch!”, just one of the lovely comments from guests at the Food Storage & Distribution Federation AGM and Annual Lunch which was held at Fishmongers’ Hall, London on 24th May.
This was the last FSDF Annual Lunch with CEO Chris Sturman at the helm and more than 165 people came to wish him well in his retirement. Before guests enjoyed a sumptuous 3 course meal Chris introduced his successor, Shane Brennan, who will take up his post at the end of July whilst FSDF President, Tim Moran, gave a tribute to Chris and his illustrious career.
During the reception and lunch itself, guests were entertained by close-up magician, Rich Reynolds who amazed and astounded everyone with his unbelievable tricks.
FSDF is a proud supporter of Transaid, an international development charity that transforms lives through safe, available, and sustainable transport in Africa and developing countries, and we were delighted to learn that the prize draw that took place during the event raised over £1000 for the charity.
FSDF Future Leader, Steven Plant was presented with his award, which had been announced earlier in the year and the FSDF Health & Safety Awards were presented to the winners by Nigel Lea of awards sponsor, Citation Professional Solutions together with FSDF Technical & Safety Committee Chairman, Simon Williams. The 2018 Individual winner was Philip Towl of XPO Logistics, Full Member winner was Cold Move and Associate Member winner was RTITB.
FSDF would like to thank all our sponsors without whom we could not provide such a successful event.
