Best Ever BRC Audit for Cold Move
FSDF member Cold Move have recently opened a newly refurbished warehouse with a brand new ammonia plant and racking installation totalling over £1Million worth of investment, Cold Move wanted this to be included in the scope of their BRC accreditation so they brought forward the audit by six months to February.
They also took the choice to move the certification partner to FSDF member KIWA, who have been extremely professional and efficient.
The audit covered Glovers Meadow and Maes-y-Clawdd facilities with the scope of Frozen, Ambient, Packaging and Chilled storage along with Blast Freezing and Tempering.

Cold Move is a privately owned and operated cold storage and value added facility based in Oswestry, Shropshire. Its origins date back to the late 1950’s when it’s founder Bill Woodward opened the first cold store on the existing site selling frozen food to local pubs and restaurants. Today operating on a much increased footprint Cold Move offers circa 13,000 pallet spaces of frozen, ambient and chilled warehousing space across six chambers with a combination of mobile, narrow and wide aisle static racking, as well as a blast freezing capacity of up to 200 pallets per day.
