Government addresses flexible workers’ rights
The government has announced its intent to bring greater clarity and rights to flexible workers.

Some of the key areas covered in the government’s plans include:
- A list of day one rights – including holiday and sick pay entitlements;
- Increasing penalty enforcement fines to £20,000 in certain cases; and
- Naming and shaming employers who don’t pay employment tribunal awards.
