Defra, the Environment Agency and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency have announced a ban on refrigerants with a global warming potential (GWP) greater than 2500, effective from 1st January 2020. Commonly used refrigerants subject to the ban include, but are not limited to, R404A and R507A.
